In 1938, Sarah “Sadie” Beyel and her three sons, Sam, Abe & Joe moved from Brooklyn, New York to South Jersey as entrepreneurs. Abe opened a Tavern in Philadelphia. Joe opened a Liquor store in Camden, NJ. And Sam and his Mother, Sadie, moved to Marmora, New Jersey where they opened Boulevard Super Liquors.

Super Liquors’ first location (1938-1953) sat further west at the
intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard & Lyndhurst Road. As construction of the Garden State Parkway began, Sadie and Sam relocated to our current home (501 Roosevelt Boulevard) in 1953 between the future coastal highway and Ocean City, New Jersey – One of New Jersey’s most popular travel destinations and a “dry town”.

Over the next few decades, Sadie, Sam, and his wife Anna expanded the store’s footprint multiple times, adding store and warehouse space, and opening a deli. With the help of
their sons, Dave & Dan, the final expansion was completed in 1984. Years later, the Deli and sandwich shop was converted to an expansive refrigerated walk-in wine cellar – one of the largest in the state.

After undergoing a major renovation, Super Liquors hosted a Grand Reopening in June of 2023 celebrating 85 Years as now a 4th Generation Family Owned and Operated Business - Dave “Dirt” Beyel and wife Sandy Corson Beyel are now joined by their children, Dave Jr (& Family) and Casey.

With 32 refrigerated doors and one of the State’s largest fully refrigerated walk-in Wine Cellars (home to thousands of bottles of Wine and Champagne from around the world), Boulevard Super Liquors offers one ofthe largest selections of refrigerated beer, wine, seltzers, and Ready-to-Drink beverages on the east coast.

We are conveniently located just 676 steps from Ocean City, NJ, and just 1,000 yards from Exit 25 on the Garden State Parkway – so whether visiting Ocean City, or traveling north or south the Parkway, we are an easy stop and happy to assist with all of your beverage needs.
